Cameron and Leila's Wedding

Dang.

I totally missed a week of blogging. We've been so busy the past two weekends (including this one) that there just wasn't time to post about what we did last weekend before we were knee-deep in this weekend. So, this will be mostly pictures with a little commentary.

Last weekend we flew to Salt Lake City for our brother Cameron's wedding. He and his sweetheart Leila were married in the Bountiful Temple Saturday, June 19.

We arrived Thursday evening, and, as is the case when we visit during the summer, went straight to the ballpark to catch our brother Marc's baseball game. Our adorable niece was happy to see us.

Friday was when the festivities began with the wedding dinner. But before all of the formalities of speeches and introductions, Marc and I found some time to perfect our canoeing technique on Wii Sports Resort.

At the wedding dinner, either Dad didn't want his picture taken, or there was something interesting printed on the back of his napkin.

We were able to snap a few good pictures of him during a contemplative moment, including this one (in other words, we snapped this when he wasn't looking).

Dad must get his aversion to photographers from Grandma Reynolds. She always said that she'd "mash ya," but this was the first time I actually believed her.

Ellie arrived and posed to show off her beautiful new dress. And who new Marc was such an etiquette expert?

By now you may be wondering about the happy couple... Here's our brother Cameron.

And his brand new bride, Leila.

Here's one of the two of them enjoying the evening together. Something tells me that one of them was aware of this picture being taken and the other, not so much.

And here we are—pleased as punch to be spending time with our family. The all-you-can-eat buffet with steak and halibut was nice too. You know it's a special occasion when Brookie breaks out the earrings.

Saturday was the wedding. Here's a picture of the newlyweds, fresh from the temple.

Looks like Cameron just realized that he doesn't have to take Leila back to her place tonight because his place is now their place. Woot!

During the ceremony, we were reminded of some precious truths about life, love, marriage, and covenants. Outside the temple waiting for Cameron and Leila, we were reminded of another truth: our cousins have adorable kids.

And, Exhibit D well, at some point they start to grow up and they'd rather be funny than adorable.

Here is a picture of everyone starting to gather for family wedding pictures after the ceremony. Marc watched the kids while we were in the temple. Being responsible for five little kids, Marc said he felt like a single dad. We made sure to wish him a Happy Father's day on Sunday.

The reception was Saturday evening. One of these flower girls is our cute niece. Hint: She's the one who doesn't look happy to be there.

Here's Cameron talking to his best man, who appears thoroughly engrossed in the conversation.

Pictures of people eating are great. Here's one of the politest, most boring cake cutting ceremony I've ever had to endure—no napkins necessary.

Lastly, since, you know, this is our blog, here's a great picture of me and my beautiful June Bride in the park at the reception.

Go to the board!
