What We Did This Weekend:
Not Much to Report

It was bound to happen. After last weekend's endless fun, we were due for a downer. Not that there was anything wrong with this weekend. We just didn't do too much.

Friday night was, of course, our date night. We got really creative and decided that Applebee's sounded good. It's amazing what one good entree can do for a restaurant. Until recently, we were bigger fans of Chili's. And, since they are basically the same thing, we never ate at Applebee's, unless it was the only option. Then, one day after going to the Temple in St. Louis, it was our only option. That's when I first ordered the Quesadilla Burger. Since then, we've been to Applebee's more than any other restaurant, and I've order that burger every time. Friday was no exception. After dinner, we finished off the last disk of Psych's first season. The second season should start arriving from Netflix tomorrow.

Saturday we ran some errands and made an appearance at the stake Kings and Princesses dance for the 12 year old girls and their dads. It was really well done, and it looked like everyone had a good time. We went just to support Brooke's young women from the ward.

And, yeah... that's about it.

So, now that our weekend has been recapped, here are a few things you might be interested in.

Many of our friends and family have asked about when our adoptive profile would be online. We have been wondering the same thing. Tonight we got an email that shed some light on the situation.

Apparently LDS Family Services was in the middle of a site upgrade when we applied. The old itsaboutlove.org site will be replaced in the near future by beta.itsaboutlove.org. Our profile is up and running on the beta site, if you want to check us out.

On another note, I'm working on a new design for our blog. I'll post a special announcement when it's done, in case any of you use an RSS feed to keep up with us. Here's a little sneak preview:

And, in light of Brookie's bucket list goal of visiting every Frank Lloyd Wright building in the world, I have encouraged her to start a travel blog to showcase and chronicle our architectural adventures. When I finish customizing the look of that blog, we'll let you know where to find it.

Have a great week. And make your weekend memorable.

  1. I'm going to look at your profile on the website. Just to give you some hope, a friend I work with was just chosen by a birth mom who is due in 2 weeks. She has had their profile on 'itsaboutlove' since September--it happened fast for them, and I pray it will be soon for you too!
