Catching Up

June flew by!!

One night in June we went up the mountains to roast hot dogs and marshmallows with some friends. But we had a little unwelcome visitor...a rattlesnake. Todd and Jackson were sitting on a bench, and when Jackson dropped his binkie, I looked under the bench, and there was a rattlesnake all coiled up. We left it alone, and it slept most of the time we were there. We couldn't move to a different spot because we had already started our fire. It wasn't until the very end, that it decided to wake up and slither away...still, we were a little scared.

For July 4th we went to Ogden. I took the kids in the morning on Thursday and we spent the day with my Grammie. I got Todd from the train in the evening and we had dinner with them. Then we went to stay at her condo about 20 minutes away that she has for family to use. On Friday we drove up to Eden to meet up with some old friends who were visiting her parents at their cabin. We had a super fun day riding ATV's, watching the kids swim, eating lots, and going down the zip line. Savannah loved it and went down lots. I went down once...Saturday we went to a parade in Ogden, and then spent the day with Grammie again. It was so hot, and we all loved playing in the water in her backyard. That evening Todd, Savannah, and I stayed up to watch a movie at the condo and did sparklers. A great weekend!
