Countdown Begins
In Utah, you have to wait six months to finalize an adoption, which means we also have to wait to get Jackson sealed and blessed. (In Kansas, it is just about 2 months). But we decided to take an opportunity to be excited for that time and learn more about the temple. During this six months, we are doing special family home evening lessons about the temple, we also made bracelets to remind us that we are excited and waiting for the temple (like being tied...or sealed together), and then we made a footprints countdown to the time. We will take one footprint off each Monday at Family Home Evening.
We have been adding a few things to Jackson's room!
And guess what, Todd and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary! A decade! We did some fun things to celebrate: rent a paddle boat to ride around a lake, rent bicycles to ride around the city, visit a really lame museum (but it's funny now), go shopping (and actually buy some things), visit the temple, and eat out at a fancy restaurant. Super fun! But the best part for me was just having time to talk and reminisce and do silly things together like we were newlyweds again. It's hard to believe it has been 10 years!

So excited for you guys! Happy anniversary!
