Drama Camp

We found a little drama camp for Savannah to do for a week at Murray Park. It was inexpensive, only an hour, and just perfect for her! She loves pretending and she loves stories, so this was great. They did little games each day and got ready for their performance of "The Stinky Cheese Man" on Friday. Each day we would pack a picnic lunch and drive to Murray. While Savannah was doing her activity, Jackson and I would walk around the park, feed the ducks, swing, and play at the park. It was so enjoyable! Then we would get Savannah and have our picnic lunch before heading back home. On Friday, performance day, we went a few minutes early to stop at the Farmer's Market. And Savannah was so happy to have Daddy come for the performance. Even though it was just a small little thing, it meant the world to her to have him come from work to support her in that little show.

One thing we love to do is read longer books at lunch time. So we brought the book we had been reading, "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" by Kate DeCamillo. And we finished it on the last day of camp during our picnic lunch! But Savannah thought I was a major weirdo because I was getting all weepy at the end. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it! My favorite!
