Goals
One of my goals this past year was to work on photography...here's a
few samples from this year. I also did a lot of writing last year. One
thing I wrote was an adoption & infertility essay. If you would like
a copy of that, let me know. It has a lot of our personal experiences
in it, and may be helpful to you or anyone you know who is going through
the same thing.
We had a special family home evening at the end of 2013 to talk about and set some goals for this coming year. Savannah's goals include: learning how to swim, not wearing a diaper at night any more, and learning how to read (the diaper one was my idea). Then last night in our FHE, she said that she was also thinking that a goal for this year would be for her to grow up. I think she is starting to recognize some things that she isn't quite able to do yet because she is still three. She talks a lot about being excited for school, getting baptized, going to the temple, all of which are a long time away, for her. We are thankful for a new year. We are especially thankful for the gospel which comforts, sustains, and teaches us in big trials, as well as daily difficulties. It's the best part of our lives: to know that we have a Savior who loves us, wants us to be an eternal family, and will help us get there. Have a happy new year!
