A Few Thanksgiving Pictures

For Thanksgiving this year we had over some family, and a friend from KC that is here at BYU. We had a nice meal, and a great couple of days preparing for the meal. We did some shopping and decorating over the weekend, and enjoyed all the time we had together. We started our December advent yesterday by going to a "Herriman City Sing Along." Santa was there too. When it was time for us to get in line for her to see Santa, the line was out the door. As soon as we got inside the door, she strolled right up to the front of the line, and stood right in front of him. Meanwhile the kids already sitting on his lap were trying to get their pictures taken. Normally she doesn't wander off without us, since she is pretty cautious. So, I headed up there to have her come back. When we got back in the line, she was ready to lose it. We stepped into the hall and the big tears started rolling down her cheeks, and she said, "I just really wanted to see Santa right now." After a minute to calm down, we got back in line. Needless to say, she didn't actually talk to him when it was her turn.

The turkey wouldn't quite fit in the roaster we borrowed from a friend, so Todd fashioned a way to hold the lid on.
