What Have We Been Up To?

It's been a really busy few weeks! Mostly, we have been busy getting the house ready to put on the market. But we have also had some fun things in there too:

A visit from Todd's brother, Marc. Marc will be going to the MTC to report for his mission to Guatemala on March 28 (we went out to Salt Lake for the farewell, but that will have to be a different post). While Marc was here we tried to show him a little more of the city. Here are some fun pictures from the College Basketball Experience. It is a great "museum" at the Sprint Center; perfect for taking guests to.

We also ate some good BBQ at Pork n Pit in Lee's Summit, visited the farmer's market, and the visitor's center in Independence.

In March, we went to the auto expo. We love going to this each year, it's just fun to see all the new cars.

Last, we have mostly been spending all our free time on house projects. We are trying to put in on the market in April...so if you want in on this once in a lifetime deal, better jump on it quick! It's a one of a kind, and it will probably go quick (or we are hoping at least!) The biggest project so far has been putting down quarter round molding, but it looks great (thanks to some great friends who loaned us their nail gun). There used to be big gaps in the floor. We also repainted all the doors, trim, door frames, and molding. We repainted the front door, shutters, and porch swing red. On the basement door we also painted it with magnetic paint and chalkboard paint. We painted our little back mudroom area, put the last two handles up in the kitchen, and got a new stove after the broiler fiasco. We started on the lawn, but that will be the major focus over the next couple of weeks.

Here's a few funny pictures of Savannah!
