What We Did This Weekend
This weekend wasn't too busy, except for our trip to the Temple Saturday. That was nice. Our temple is in St. Louis, which is three and a half hours away, so when we go, it's an all day thing. We were on the road by 8:00am. We returned home that night at about 6:45, maybe closer to 7:00pm. When we first started these trips, we budgeted $60, which included gas and some food. Now the gas alone is about $55, so we've had to find cheaper places to eat. This time we stopped at Culver's (Mmmm... ButterBurgers...).
We relaxed on the futon that night and watched our most recent Netflix rental, Miracle. Great show. I don't want to ruin the ending for you, but man, I love it when we beat those Soviets.
Friday was date night. We left a little earlier than usual to stop at America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses. Yeah. After more than three years, we decided it was time for some new spectacles. While we were in the Kansas neck of the woods, we had dinner at the Salty Iguana. It's Mexican and it's some good stuff. Too bad for that tomato scare though. Some how Mexican food just isn't the same without fresh tomatoes. Come to think of it, neither is a nice, juicy ButterBurger.
After dinner we ran into this little car show in the parking lot of what used to be a bustling Chili's. And, well, we can't pass up a car show. Enjoy the pics.
That does look like Dick Tracy's car! I like reading your blog to find out all the cool things people outside of Utah can experience. We miss you guys. See you soon though. -Missy
