First Halloween

Finally fixed the problem we were having with the images...
Todd and I love dressing up for Halloween. We have had some good costumes over the years: Sponge Bob & Patrick (of course, no one knew that I was Patrick), the Princess & the Frog, Mac Geniuses, an email and attachment, just to name a few. This year, with the addition of Savannah, we now had to pick something that involved three people. We were going to be the three blind mice, but after I saw an Anne Geddes picture of a baby as a daisy, Todd suggested that she be a sunflower. Of course, we were gardeners.

With Halloween on a Sunday this year, most of the festivities were on Friday and Saturday. We had our first babysitter on Friday night (Savannah slept the whole time) while we went to a murder mystery. Neither of us were the murderer, luckily.

On Saturday, we dressed in our gardener/sunflower costumes and went to the church's Trunk or Treat or whatever you call it. Todd made some chili for the competition, and it was so tasty! A buffalo chicken chili.

On Sunday, we had a few friends over for a "spooky" dinner. Eyeballs and Brains (meatballs and spaghetti), bloody bones (bone-shaped breadsticks with marinara sauce), monster booger juice (green lemonade), witches fingers (peanut butter mixture around pretzels), and graveyard pudding. We were so excited about the graveyard pudding. We found some gummy skulls that were perfect for a hidden surprise in the pudding. Only two trick-or-treaters this year and they were sisters, and we told them to come over...

A great first Halloween for Miss Savannah!
