Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from beautiful Kansas City!

It is during this time of year that we look back on the year and reflect upon all that has happened and all we are grateful for.

2007 has been a full year. We bought a house in March (see older blogs for that rocky experience and for pictures) and we have been busy making it perfect. It is a quaint, 1940’s 2-bedroom home. The man we bought it from put a lot of work into it: new kitchen, new bathroom, beautiful molding, new roof, and new appliances. We have done some work also, and it has been a great learning process. We tore up the carpet in the front room and redid the hardwood floors. We painted to whole house and front porch. We put up all new gutters. Next spring we will begin the landscaping. We love being homeowners and have been so grateful for the learning opportunities we have had.

We have really loved Kansas City. We have been here for just over a year and Kansas City has captured our hearts. There is so much to see in Kansas City and it is a great place to raise a family. People are nice and the Church is very strong here. We have taken the time to explore our new hometown and have found so many treasures in Kansas City:
great food, great shopping, and great sightseeing. Not to mention, Todd loves living in a city with an MLB team!

At this time of year, we are especially grateful for the hand of God in our lives. We feel his influence each day. We are so thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. His infinite love is what sustains us.

May you all have a blessed and happy Christmas and New Year! Love, Todd and Brookie
