Finally! Pictures of Our Home in Kansas City

Okay everyone... Here are some pictures of our home... Finally furnished. Enjoy!

This is a picture of our TV/Office/Guest/Spare Room. It is kind of the catch-all room. We painted 2 walls blue, and 2 walls black. I was skeptical at first, but Todd convinced me that I would like it. It is growing on me and I think once we get all of our fun movie posters up, it will look great. Todd was able to buy a new computer (pictured here) with the money he earned painting a mural for my Boss' son.

This is also in our TV room. My boss gave us this big TV and for the longest time it stood on a little end table. We finally got a TV stand that looked nice with the TV and all the movies, games, etc.

We bought this futon for the TV room so that we would have somewhere to have guests stay, besides just on the floor. It sits against the black wall, so it is difficult to see in this picture. But it is actually a very comfortable futon.

In our bedroom we painted two walls gray and two walls blue, with orange as an accent color. We are still in the process of finding some artwork to hang above the bed.

The bathroom was the first room that we did. It has blue walls and white tile. The previous owner did the tile work. Again, we have the orange accent.

This is one of our chairs that we bought from IKEA. Todd recently got a bonus from work, so we were finally able to buy some furniture. We looked everywhere for some furniture that we liked and our favorite was at IKEA. Unfortunately, the closet store is in Chicago, so we had to have it shipped. But we are so excited to finally have a couch to sit on!

This is the view from the couch looking out the front windows. We got the two red chairs, the black coffee table, and the red rug (barely visible) from IKEA.

This is our dining room, our favorite room in the house. We were so excited when we saw the light fixture because it matches our table perfectly. We covered the chairs red, so they would match the room.

Brooke took these pictures of downtown Kansas City. It was a really fun project and they turned out better than we had expected. Above the Western Auto Building picture, we have a hanging light that gives it a nice museum effect.

Here is the picture of the front of our house. We painted the porch white to give it more of a quaint cottage feel. But we still have a lot to do with the landscaping. Eventually, I want to have tulips lining the front and side of the house.

Here is our porch. We found the porch swing on somebody's curb during a Spring cleanup. It was in great condition; it just needed a little sanding and painting. It is very nice to sit out there on cool days.

Here is our couch. Our front room is like an IKEA commercial!
